- Licensed capacity is not an open place. A program listed for infants may still have no room this year.
- Ages, schedules, and subsidies come from state licensing records, which can lag what a program currently offers.
- Care that is legally exempt from licensing, including much home and family care, does not appear in these records and is not counted.
